He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Jurs and Ruth Jurs (Ehlert); and his pets, Simon and Reagan. He is survived by: his siblings, Sandra Anderson (Richard) of Sycamore and Ronald Jurs (Catherine) of Boise, ID. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
