He is survived by: his sons, Daniel Joe Wherley (Chris) of Ipava, IL and John Edward Wherley (Erin) of Table Grove; his grandchildren, Brandie Hickle (Matt), Kayla Cleland (Eric), Justin Wherley, Josh Coakley, Daniel Joe Wherley (Chelsea), Danielle Wherley, Michael Wherley, Braxton Wherley and Dalton Rutledge; his great grandchildren, Triton (Madison), Shane (Kalissa), Tyson, Nova Hickle, Cyrus, Athena, Paxton, Xavier, Xander Cleland, Kennadi, Olivia, Leo Wherley, Sal, JD Coakley, Adalynn Wherley, Breyden, Dresden and Phoenix Rutledge; his great great grandchild Beckem Hickle; and his sister Beverly Yocum (Tom) of Lewistown, IL..
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Ipava American Legion (270 E Main St, Ipava, IL 61441).
