She was predeceased by: her parents, Elza Smith and Cleva Smith (Hamm); and her siblings, Marie Onion, Doris Smith, Frances Kendrick, Helen Curless, Rosa Fitzjerrells, Homer Smith and Junior "Jake" Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Abernathy of Table Grove, Lynn Spencer of Vermont, IL and Greg Abernathy (Shelley) of Vermont; and her grandchildren, Daphne Abernathy (Ernie Barclay), Brandon Abernathy (Cristy Cracraft), Brian Spencer (Adair), Tony Spencer (Lorretta), Alanna Spencer, Heather Beekman (Chad), Nathan Abernathy (Keesha), Sierra Willey (Brad), Matt Abernathy (Kelly) and Kreedan Abernathy. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Table Grove Fire and Rescue Squad or MDH Hospice.
