She was predeceased by: her parents, James Scott and Cora Nell; her husband John F. Smith; her children, James Smith, Dennis Smith, Elizabeth Maple and Bonnie Smith; and her daughters-in-law, Linda Smith and Kathy Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Billy Smith of Petersburg, Roger Smith (Joyce) of Jacksonville, Darrell Smith (Jesse) of Madison and Darlene Dick of Cantrall, Illinois; her brother Bob Kemp; and her children-in-law, Mike Maple, Mary Smith and Barbara Smith. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
