She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle Heape and Lola Heape (Rice); her former husband Donald Overton; her daughter Cindy Archer; and her siblings, Collene Woodside and Donald Heape.

She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Wayne Ping; her children, Mark Overton (Joyce) of Percy, IL, Todd Overton (Carol) of Assumption, IL, Michael Overton (Denise) of Springfield, MO, Jason Ping (Abbie) of Tamaroa, Kelly Brenner (Russell), Kimberly Russell (Leo) of Du Quoin, Kendra Campanella (Clem) of Mulkeytown and Krista Mills (Tracy) of Du Quoin; and her sister Kay Danbury of Tamaroa. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and will be accepted at the funeral home.
