We are sad to announce that, on February 10, 2026, at the age of 89, Carl Reed of Taylorville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Reed and Bessie Reed (Sloan); his wife Elsie Mabel Hendricks; and his brothers, Kenny and Danny Reed.
He is survived by: his children, Rusty Reed of Mission Viejo, CA, Ricky Reed (Gwen) of Taylorville, IL and Mickey Reed (Christine) of Springfield, IL; his grandchild Shannon Guetter; his sons, Brandon Reed, Jacob Reed, Adam Reed, Donn Diehl and David Diehl; and his sister Bonnie Stoldt of Shumway, IL.. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Memorials in Carl's honor may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church of Taylorville.
