He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Miles and Clara Miles (Kroenlein); and his son Jeff. He is survived by: his wife Helen Miles of Taylorville; and his son Jim of Denver, CO. He is also survived by two granddaughters, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Taylorville United Methodist Church 200 S. Walnut St. Taylorville, IL 62568.
