He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Bernard and Norma Mae Ray (Clark). He is survived by: his wife Kathy Ray of Taylorville; his son Zack Ray (Jeremiah) of Brooklyn; his brother Terry Ray of Winfield, Illinois; and his sisters-in-law, Suzzy Cocagne of Taylorville, Marty Sanders of Taylorville and Helga Fleming of Taylorville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Camp Butler National Cemetery (5063 Camp Butler Rd, Springfield, IL 62707). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the American Legion (110 W Franklin St, Taylorville, IL 62568).
