She was predeceased by: her parents, Norval Mottar and Katheryn Mottar; her brothers, Robert and Richard; her former spouse Just; her husband Bob of Stonington, IL; her daughter Deb Penning; her children-in-law, John Penning and Sue Jane Weil Smith; and her grandson Christopher Smith.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Samuel Smith Penning (Ezara) of Springfield, Emily Smith Penning of Kansas City, MO, Robert Smith III (Bridget) of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Mark Smith (Amber) and Michael Smith (Megan) of La Crosse, WI.; her great grandchildren, Declan, Riley, Sullivan, Finnegan Smith of Bloomfield Hills, MI, Lincoln and Harrison Smith of La Crosse, WI.; her sons, Bob of Northville, MI and Mike of La Crosse, WI; and her siblings-in-law, Richard Smith (Clare) and Polly Bilyeu. She is also survived by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
