He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Fishburn and Vaughn Fishburn; and his wife Judith Kay West. He is survived by: his children, Susan Zindel (Ken) of Moweaqua and David Fishburn (Elizabeth) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Melissa Zindel (Felix Amankona-Diawuo), Jacob Zindel, Callie Zindel, Emily Lemons (T. J.), Shelby Montgomery (Daniel), Jenna Robinson and Renee Fishburn; and his great grandchildren, Charis Lemons, Eden Lemons, Micah Lemons, Eloise Montgomery and Talia Lemons.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Temple Baptist Church (1818 E Mound Rd, Decatur, IL 62526). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the West Side Cemetery. A graveside service was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
