It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Scott of Taylorville, Illinois, who passed away on November 20, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Scott and Margret Scott of Taylorville; his wife Patsy Scott (Lederbrand); his daughter-in-law Shelli Scott; and his siblings, Bernard Scott, Nide Grundy, Shirley Conway and Catherine Bailey.
He is survived by: his siblings, Russel Scott (Nancy) of Irvine California, Leon Scott (Bev) of Taylorville, IL and Mary Lou Clayton of Mt. Auburn, IL.; his grandsons, Garrett Scott (Madison) of Fort Worth, TX and Dylan Scott (Sydney) of Taylorville, IL.; and his great grandchildren, Skylan and Addelyn Scott of Taylorville, IL..
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sutton Memorial (327 N Clay St, Taylorville, IL 62568). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
