It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen L. Davis of Taylorville, Illinois, who passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Brown and Clara Brown (Huffman); her husband Robert E. Davis; her brothers, Virgil Greffe (Martha Brown), Charles J. Brown (Vivian), Robert Garwood (Mildred Brown), Milford Brown, Charles Guthrie and Norman Dixon; her nieces, Peggy McCombs and Janet Cook; and her great-nephew Joel Bohnhoff.
She is survived by: her sister Marilyn Dixon (Brown) of Taylorville, IL; and her nieces and nephews, Susan Chaney (Andy), Kevin Brown (Tricia), Joan Bohnhoff (Kent), Jill Spengler (Dave), Chuck Guthrie (Kathy), Debra Johnson (Larry) and Sue Althoff (Paul). She is also survived by numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as two great-great-nieces and seven great-great-nephews.
