It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James H. Smith of Taylorville, Illinois, who passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold F. Smith and Helen D. Smith; and his wife Jeaneen. He is survived by: his daughter Gina Bennett (Allan) of Springfield; his grandson Jacob Bennett of St. Louis; and his caregivers, Jim, Meg, Bruce Kettlekamp, Larry, Sylvia Kemner, Dr. Rick DelValle, Ron Lindvahl, Marty, Donna Davis, Jack, Penny Brown and Rev. James Jones.
Donations in Jim's memory may be made to the Taylorville High School Music Boosters and mailed to Taylorville High School.
