John Harris Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Harris of Taylorville, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Harris and Ella Mae Harris (Simpson); and his siblings, Jane Pankey, Eva Martin, Debbie Harris Meyers, Kirby Harris, Eddie Harris and Ralph Harris.
He is survived by: his children, Bridgitte Guertler (Steve) of Villa Park, Tracie Stephens (Pat) of Auburn, Molly Miller (GJ) of Edwardsville, Johnny Harris Jr. of Taylorville and Mike Harris of Kincaid; his grandchildren, Laura Guertler, Matthew Guertler (Malorie), Allison Guertler (Matthew Seefeldt), Heather Rothert, Kelly McClelland (Scott), Sydney Christus (Nick), Ryley Miller, Jonathan Harris, Jared Harris, Nick Harris, Alek Harris (Hannah) and Hunter Harris; his siblings, Rosetta Cochran (Paul), Julie Lowis, Jimmy Harris and Cecil Harris; and his former wives, Irene Rickman and Bonny Harris-Buesking. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moose Lodge #1516 in Taylorville.
