It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Norma Eileen South Altman of Taylorville, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on March 11, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Ira Louis and Mary "Mildred" South (Wood); her husband Herman L. Altman, Sr.; her siblings, Maxine Christie, Ronald and Marvin South; and her great-nephew Marcus Wiese.
She is survived by : her sister-in-law Gloria South; her nieces and nephews, Jeffrey, Clara South, David, Cinda Christie, Cheryl, Chuck Brown, Rebecca, Michael Wiese, Paul, Lori South, Mark and Kim South; her stepchildren, Susan Gay Cosio, Bud, Ann Altman, Jim and Rita Altman; and her grandchildren, Tricia Altman, Todd, Tammy Altman, Steven, Tracy Altman, Lorrie, James Frost and Garrick Cosio. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
