He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilmer Dotson and Suddie Mae McGehee (Cox); and his siblings, Luke, Bill, Ed, Jim, Tom, Charlie, Kay, Lil, Lena, Ginnie and Loretta.
He is survived by: his wife Debra McGehee of Taylorville, IL; and his children, Christopher McGehee of Redlands, CA and Michelle McGehee of Bryan, TX.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church (900 Northern Ave, Taylorville, IL 62568). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials in his honor may be made to either Grace Baptist Church or to the American Diabetes Association.
