It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Robert Stephens of Taylorville, Illinois, who passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Robert shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Robert farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Duff Stephens and Alice Stephens (Stroh); and his daughter Samantha "Peden" Stephens. He is survived by: his wife Leslie Ann Stephens of Taylorville, IL; and his children, Joseph Stephens (Brittney) of Alton, IL, Bridget Acree of Taylorville, IL, Kedra Brown (Vern) of Pawnee, IL and Bobbi Stephens of Kincaid, IL. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grace Baptist Church (900 Northern Ave, Taylorville, IL 62568). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (820 S Cherokee St, Taylorville, IL 62568).
