She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Ewig and Elizabeth Carter Ewig; her husband Fred Hopper; her grandparents, Samuel and Ora Carter; and her sister Linda Brachear Poggenpohl.

She is survived by: her close friend Carl Bruntjen of Raymond; her daughters, Melissa Johnson (Jeff) of Gainesville, FL and Melinda Robinson (Jeff) of Taylorville; her grandchildren, Cali Best, Ashlyn, Mason Johnson, Evyn and Sam Robinson; her niece Janet Walch (Carl) of Raymond; her nephews, Robert Brachear (Cathy) of Ashmore and Douglas Brachear (Jamie) of Taylorville; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Andy Brachear (Victoria), Tyler Walch, Karter Brachear, Kerri Murphy (Matt), Kylie Ferreira (Clau) and Kassie Gibbs (Gus).
