He is survived by: his son Joshua Ackerman; his granddaughter Olena Ackerman of El Reno, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Leroy Ackerman (Linda) of Taylorville, Bill Ackerman of Collinsville, Oklahoma and Sharon Castell (Judy) of Springfield. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
