He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferd Goeckner and Alice Goeckner (Dust); his siblings, Freddy, Spec, Alva Heuerman (Oliver), Anna Mae (Michael) and Marilyn Zerrusen (Larry); his parents-in-law, Ralph and Maurine Weber; and his brothers-in-law, Robert and Steve.
He is survived by: his significant other Jane; his children, Reverend Jeffrey Goeckner of Edwardsville, Jodi Hoene (Bruce) of Sigel, Eric Goeckner of Bishop Creek, Ellyn Spelbring (Gary) of Newton, Troy Goeckner (Susan) of Bishop Creek, Tari Hoene (Jason) of Sigel, Cory Goeckner (Danielle) of Bishop Creek and Clint Goeckner (Kelsey) of Teutopolis; and his in-laws, Larry Zerrusen of Teutopolis, Beth Hewing of Teutopolis and Rosie Weber (Denny) of Teutopolis. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to HSHS Hospice, Siteman Cancer Center, or for Mass intentions.
