He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Borries and Ella Borries (Niendiek); his wife Harriet C. "Sis" Pruemer; and his siblings, Leroy, Clarence and Dorothy Pruemer.
He is survived by: his sons, Gerald (Mary) of Teutopolis, Thomas of Teutopolis and Leonard of Teutopolis; his granddaughter Lisa Hutson (Joshua) of Teutopolis; his great grandchild Remington; and his siblings-in-law, Maryann Borries of Effingham, Josephine Borries of Teutopolis, Mary Pruemer of Effingham, Jerome Pruemer (Louise) of Shelbyville and Jerry Pruemer (Carol) of Teutopolis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
