LeAnn Buening Obituary

We announce the death of LeAnn Buening of Teutopolis, Illinois, who passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 70. LeAnn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry Hawickhorst and Norma Hawickhorst (Wessel); her husband Mike Buening; her children, Kelly Heuerman (Woody) and Michael Buening (Jamie); her grandchildren, Sophia Heuerman, Owen Heuerman, Isabella Heuerman, Landyn Buening, Gavin Buening, Elliot Heuerman and Paxton Buening; her siblings, Marla Bushur and Bryan Hawickhorst (Inez); and her siblings-in-law, Kay Vahling (Larry), Steve Buening and Jim Althoff.
