He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Hartke and Genevieve Hartke (Miller); his siblings, Sue Ann Willenborg (Andrew), John Hartke (Carol Ann), Carl Jean Brant (Jerry), Nancy Spelbring, Judy Reeder and Marilyn June Hartke; and his brother-in-law Russ Nuxoll.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lynn Hartke; his sons, Tony Hartke and Nick Hartke (Amanda); his granddaughters, Allie Marie Hartke and Kaylin Elizabeth Hartke; and his siblings-in-law, George Nuxoll (Colleen), Thomas Nuxoll (Louise), Raymond Nuxoll (Jan), Lisa Blythe (Ron) and Diana Nuxoll.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Effingham County Right to Life, or Impact Life.
