We announce the death of Tom Huston of Teutopolis, Illinois, who passed away on August 31, 2026, at the age of 65. He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Huston and Norma Huston (Flairty); his former wife Karen Huston; his sister Susan Rincker (Tom); and his sister-in-law Bernice Tucker (Fuesting).
He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Andrew T. Huston (Stacey), Zachary L. Huston (Kara), Elizabeth M. Hower (Connor) and Stephanie Huston (Andy Isley); his grandchildren, Aubrey, Carter, Boden Huston, June, Tripp Huston and Hower; his brothers, John Huston (Nancy) and David Huston (Karen); and his in-laws, Art, Betty Deters, Dennis, Penny Deters, Alice Deters, Gary, Carla Deters, Angie, Carl Probst, Amy, Ron Lohman, Diana, Don Brown, Steve Fuesting, Diane, David Krampe, Ralph, Teresa Fuesting, Dale, Paula Fuesting, Lester and Maggie Fuesting. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bauer Funeral Home (1212 W Evergreen Ave, Effingham, IL 62401). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (203 E Main St, Teutopolis, IL 62467). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at the St. Francis Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be given to the Boy Scouts or SBL Cancer Center.
