She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Leonard Harris and Hazel Annie Harris; and her husbands, John Carrol Hoit and Paul Edwards. She is survived by: her stepdaughter Beth Ann Gill of Newport News; her siblings, Louise Jernigan, Eunice Allan, Homer Harris, Jr. and Agnes Carol Smith; and her stepsons, Paul David Edwards and Timothy Edwards. She is also survived by many Nieces, Nephews, and many dear friends.
