He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles C. Gibbs and Ruby Isabelle Gibbs (Winters); his wife Sandra Renee Fletcher; his sister Ruby Faye Gibbs; and his great grandchild Cooper William Turner.
He is survived by: his sisters, Ellen L. Shockley (Paul) of Benton and Thelma L. Overton of Benton, Illinois; Lisa McClerren (Russell) of Thompsonville and William Jack Chaffin of Herrin, Illinois. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren.
