He is survived by: his parents, Michael Allen Marvel and Deanna Marvel (Hiller) of Thompsonville; his sister Mica Staton; his nephew Riley Staton of Hopkinsville, KY; his sister Marci Marvel; his nephew Zander of Thompsonville, IL.; his sister Megan; his brother-in-law Travis Shortland; and his siblings' children, Collin Shortland, Kadynce Shortland and Logan Shortland of Hardin County, IL.. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thompsonville First Baptist Church (21238 Shawneetown Rd, Thompsonville, IL 62890). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Thompsonville Summer League Program and will be accepted at the church or the Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort. Keep Michael's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
