He was predeceased by : his parents, Leon Summers and Marie Summers (Dotson); and his brothers, Richard, Omer "Jim", Dennis and Joe Summers.

He is survived by : his wife Vetta; his sons, Toby Summers and Greg Summers (Karen); his brother Gail Summers; his grandchildren, Mike Summers (Abby) and Victoria "Tori" Summers; and his great grandchildren, Sam and Cooper. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Union Funeral Home (213 E Oak St, West Frankfort, IL 62896).
