With sadness, we share the passing of Charles Gruver of Thomson, Illinois. Charles, born on July 22, 1959, passed away on August 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry Finch and Carol Finch (Foster); and his brother Bruce. He is survived by: his nephew Josh Krebs; his significant other Cathy Salser of Thomson; his daughters, Nicole Parks (Sterlin) of Clinton and Rebecca McClendon of Alabama; and his siblings, Brian Gruver (Mary) of Davenport, IA, Laura Evans of Clinton, Sue Wolfe of Florida, Shelia Fargo (Kevin) of Indiana and Shannon Spradlin (Carl) of Davis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Dr, Clinton, IA 52732).
