With solemn reverence, we commemorate Lyle D. Smith of Thomson, Illinois, whose life came to an end on June 28, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Lyle may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lyle touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobert Smith and Thelma Smith (Fulton); and his siblings, Carol Myers, Diane Frankfother and Gary Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Heusinkveld of Thomson; his children, Amy Dodge of Franklin Grove, Tiffany Smith of Cedar Rapids, IA, Jay Smith of Sterling and Lane Smith of Rock Falls; and his sister Judith Heath (Larry) of Morrison. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
