He was loved and cherished by many people including: his nieces and nephews, Sarah Cochran Ryan (Beto Mota), Sean, Maggie Ryan, Bridget, Gena Bernal, Niamh Ryan, Henry, Wade Belew, Luke Phelan (Holly), Addie Phelan, Noah Ryan and Caroline Ryan; his stepsibling's children, Katie, Mairead and Siobhán Kealy; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ryan Mota, Liam Heskett, Nora, Vera Calato and Henry Kealy; his siblings, Mary, Mike (Tina), Bernie (Steve Spiewak) and Rita (Neil Waring); his grandchildren, Matt Belew, Brigid and Patrick (Mhari); his sisters, Tish (John Thulin), Eileen (Jerry Kealy) and Charlie; his friend Abushola; Calvin, Seamus and Moose. He was also cherished by family and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cooney Funeral Home (625 Busse Hwy, Park Ridge, IL 60068). A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Irish American Heritage Center (4626 N Knox Ave, Chicago, IL 60630).
