It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William T. Thompson of Thornton, Illinois, who passed away on November 17, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his son Mike McCrary; and his parents, William Thompson and Alice Thompson. He is survived by : his wife Marti Thompson; his children, Chuck McCrary (Jackie), Greg McCrary (Trinette), Judy Rietveld, Bill Thompson, Bob Thompson and Jane Mullner; and his grandchildren, Jessica, Clint, Kaitlyn, Ray, Becky and Tyler. He is also survived by many other grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation Saturday, November 21, 2020 from 10:00 a. m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p. m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. (Due to the increase in Covid cases and out of consideration of everyone, masks will be required and social distancing is necessary.).

Memorial contributions may be given to Shriner's Hospital.
