Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved William Ray Blackwell of Tilden, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 86, on June 27, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis and Eunice; his siblings, Don Blackwell, Paul Blackwell, Louis Blackwell, Kenneth Blackwell, Mary Smothers and Irene Davis; and his brother-in-law Jack Bishop.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon "Sue"; his sister Betty Jean Bishop; his nephew Danny West (Sheryl) of Goreville, IL; and his close friends, Paul Hahn (Mary) and Henry Hurst. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Tilden. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
