It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Caroline S. Liggett of Tilton, Illinois, who passed away on May 11, 2026, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Caroline is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Freed and Luella Freed (Cox); her son Shelby Liggett, III; and her son-in-law Wesley Kamplain. She is survived by: her daughters, Sue Marzbannia of Danville, IL, Cheryl Reynolds (Kenneth) of Tilton, IL and Cathy Kamplain of Danville, IL; and her grandchildren, Sadie Huckstadt, Sara Marzbannia, Brian Reynolds, Stefani Phillips (Nate) and Maxtyn Kamplain. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
