He was predeceased by: his parents, James T. Horton and Wanita Horton Jr. (Bozell); his wife Nancy Harmeson; his brother John Horton; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Harmeson Jr. and Steven Harmeson.

He is survived by: his family, Vickie, Don Albright, Brian Harmeson, Donna Harmeson, Lisa, Dewey McClain, Donna Horton, Amanda Broughton, Tina Edwards, Tyler Harmeson, Crystal Lewis, Alicia McClain, Nakita McClain, Ryan McClain, Angela Smith and Brande Winchester.
