He is survived by: his wife Barbara Joan Hirschfelder; his children, Jeffrey Hirschfelder (Fran), Jamie Race (George), Kimberly Agostinelli (Jim) and Beth Laphen (Morrie); his grandchildren, Katie (Rich), Jimmy (Brittany), Anthony, Kyle (Addie) and Alex; and his pet Milo.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. George Catholic Church, Tinley Park.
