James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Pat; his children, James Hynes (Lynne), Patty Gray (Stephen) and Andy Hynes (Vicki); his grandchildren, Ryan Hynes, Kelsey Hynes, Mary Nuss (Erik), Jennifer Gray, Stephen Gray (Haley), Sean Gray (Emma Tolentino), Katie Hynes and Jack Hynes; and his siblings, Kay Caraher (late Jack), Charles Hynes (Kathy), Mary Ellen Foley (Frank) and Della Smith (Ed). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Seton Church (9300 167th St, Orland Hills, IL 60487).
