He was loved and cherished by many people including : his significant other Patricia Martinez; his children, Brandy Lemke (Herb) and Anthony Martinez (Dina); his granddaughters, Haley, Liliana and Amelia; his siblings, Philip Montes and Luanna Montes (late Salvador Hernandez); and his nieces and nephews, Brannon, Salvador and Robert.

“Joe was the doorman at our mother Miriam Chaplik’s 1418 condo building. I loved talking to him. He was a gentleman, a charming and caring human. My mother adored him. My sisters and I are devastated to hear the news of his death. We lost my mother in April 2023 and Joe was so kind and so helpful in any way he could be. He was one of a kind.
