Kenneth Edman Uher Obituary

Kenneth Uher, a devoted husband, father, papa, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, just one day after his 76th birthday. Born on October 31, 1949, Ken lived a full and vibrant life, defined by love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family and community. Ken was the darling husband and best friend of Chris Uher for 48 wonderful years. He was the loving and proud dad of Vikki (Mike) Thomas, Kenny (Kristen) Uher, and the late Lori (Stacy) Devitt. Known affectionately as Papa to Kenneth Eoghan, and Bryson Stone, Ken filled their lives with laughter, life lessons, and unconditional love.

His fur babies, Vixen and Fluffy, miss him already. Son of the late Ed and Margaret (Edman) Uher, Ken was also the cherished son-in-law of the late Hank Sr. and Vikki Rutkowski, and loved brother-in-law of Hank Jr. (Debbie) and Rick (Diane) Rutkowski. He shared decades of friendship and countless memories with his dearest friends Ed and the late Maryanne O'Donnell, and Dan and Sue Fredericks. Whether you called him Uncle Bobo, Senator, Fazza, Pops, Papa, Senior, Wolfie, Mr. Uher, Kenny, or Ken, he always had a great story, a hilarious joke, or a comment that made everyone smile.

He had a gift for connecting with people — no matter who you were, you walked away laughing. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Ken served his country honorably before spending more than 40 years as a U.S. Postal Carrier in LaGrange, where his friendly demeanor and reliable service made him a beloved fixture of the community. Ken loved the Chicago Bears, fishing, reading history, talking about squirrels, and listening to music. Some of his favorite moments were spent casting lines in Wisconsin Dells with his family — the place where his stories, humor, and love came to life year after year.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, remembered for his laughter, loyalty, and the joy he brought to every moment. "And that ain't no bullshit.". Visitation will be held Friday, November 7, 2025 from 3pm until time of celebrant service 7pm at Brady-Gill Funeral Home 16600 Oak Park Ave. Tinley Park, IL 60477.Inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make memorials in Kenneth's name to any Veteran's charity. All tributes will be distributed by the family.
