He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Steven Nawara and Kristen Brainerd (Carl); his granddaughters, Belle, Charlotte and Madeline; and his siblings, Thomas Nawara, Victoria Massaccesi (late Ray), Monica Kosla (Sigmund), Michael (Becky) and Anthony Nawara (Eileen). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Lawn Funeral Home - Tinley Park (17909 S 94th Ave, Tinley Park, IL 60487). A prayer was held on Sunday, August 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
