We bid farewell to Terry Helle of Tiskilwa, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 4, 2024 at the age of 78. Terry touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Lee and Hallie Jean Helle (Underwood); his wife Karen Harrod of Princeton; and his siblings, Kenneth, Beverly Sue and Marilyn.

He is survived by: his children, Sherri Whitmer of Sycamore, Juile Swanson (Mark) of Princeton, Jodie Helle Corwin (Scott) of Clearwater, FL, Corey Helle (Kim) of Pauline, SC, Laurie Read (Tim) of Henry and Shane Helle of Peoria; his grandchildren, Amanda Abell, Chelsea Abell, Aspyn Helle-Smith, Raymond Gaskill, Justin Gaskill, Jonathan Gaskill, Nathan Helle, Jordyn Read, Alisyn Read, Maggie Helle, Lucas Helle, Abbey Helle and Abram Helle; his great grandchildren, Shayla Abell, Lily Miller, Lyric Miller, Leah Miller, Jeremy Chamberlain, Sage Davis, Leighton Davis, Liam Davis, William Davis, Alivia Davis, Victor Puentes, Jayce Gaskill, Gavin Gaskill, Zoey Gaskill, Gabriel Gaskill and Ronin Gaskill; and his siblings, Donna Barker of Wyanet, James Helle of Chicago and Charles "Lee" Helle of West Port, WA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“Terry and I were classmates in Tiskilwa from first grade through high school graduation. He was a kind and generous guy. About 15-20 years ago when a big old pine snapped off and fell across my front yard. He'd retired by then, but I thought I'd take a chance and call him. Trees were down all over town and it would be a big wait to get anyone to remove it. He came over right away and cut it all up for me. When I tried to pay him, he said, "Nahhh. I wouldn't take money from a friend."”
