It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wilmer Sears of Tiskilwa, Illinois, born in Princeton, Illinois, who passed away on November 14, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Sears and Dina Sears (Camp); his wife Shirley Swartzendruber; his brothers, Duane, Bob and Earl Sears; and his nephew Bill Sears.

He is survived by: his brother Merle Sears (Joy) of Tiskilwa, IL; his sisters-in-law, Kay of Eureka, IL, Janet of Madison, MO and Jane of Goshen, IN; and his sibling's child Swartzendruber.

Due to precautions regarding the Coronavirus pandemic, the family will be planning a memorial service for a later date.

One of the highlights which he frequently talked about was his voluntary service in Puerto Rico in the fifties with the Ulrich Foundation.

“To the Family of Wilmer Sears, As a young man in high school Wilmer was kind to employee me on his farm in Tiskilwa, Il. I did a variety of tasks and I appreciated Wilmer and Shirley during those formative years. Wilmer used to say " what do you think we should do now?" Good memories!
