Alan leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Alan’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Alan will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Max R. Thode and Virginia Thode (Biddle) of Tuscola. He is survived by: his daughter Heather Lynne Thode; his sisters, Cindy Fricke (Dave) of St. Charles, Missouri, Suzy McDaniel (Greg) of Mascoutah, Illinois and Julie Edmonds; and his friend Al. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hilligoss Shrader Funeral Home (705 S Main St, Tuscola, IL 61953). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
