She was predeceased by: her parents, John Brown and Marie Brown; her husband Lester Orwig; her sisters, Evelyn and Carolyn; and her grandson Dustin.
She is survived by: her children, Joe Orwig (Karin) of Toulon, John Orwig (Annette) of Kewanee, Jeff Orwig (Emeline) of Manhattan, KS and Jill Mitchell (Duane) of Kewanee; and her siblings, Bud Brown (Brenda) of Moline, Barbara Spaur (Gerald) of Lovilia, IA, Linda of Clovis, NM, Margaret Klinkenberger of Des Moines, IA and Kathy Jordan of Iowa City, IA. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Rux Funeral Homes (313 Market St, Galva, IL 61434). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
