It is with sadness that the passing of Marilyn Hany (Towanda, Illinois) is shared. Marilyn, born on March 15, 1933, passed away on September 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Grusy and Elizabeth Grusy (Zimmerman); her husband Robert Hany; her siblings, Genevieve Henrichs, Kathleen Kaufman and Frank; and her great grandchild Collin Biddle.
She is survived by: her children, Al (Keri) of Gridley, Dan (Toni) of Normal and Carol Carter of Bloomington; her grandchildren, Melinda Hany, Lauren Hany-Cardozo (Joel), Ryan Biddle (Crystal), Sadie Walker, Faith Carter, Brianna Carter and Isaac Carter; her brother Burt Grusy; Caitlin, Jakson, Lillyanne, Lorelei, Niko, Leo, Connor and Lucas.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Bloomington Apostolic Christian Church (4408 E Raab Rd, Towanda, IL 61761). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials can be made to Midwest Food Bank, Bloomington Apostolic Christian Church or Fort Myers Apostolic Christian Church.
