James Benson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Benson of Tremont, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 31, 2025 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Benson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Benson and Patricia Benson. He is survived by: his wife Marianne MacKenzie; his daughters, Amy Aluyi of Tremont, Emily Benson of Pekin and Elly Conklin (Jason) of Knoxville, TN; his grandchildren, Bo, Marley Aluyi of Tremont, Seth, Aiden, Anna and Megan Conklin of Knoxville; and his brother D. Bret Benson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church (3601 North North Street, Peoria, IL 61604).
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cursillo in Christ of the Diocese of Peoria or St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Peoria, Il.
