It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carole D. Richardson of Trenton, Illinois, who passed away on August 12, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Olson and Flora Olson; her husband Kenneth Richardson; her sisters, Julia Olson and Helen Nagy (John); her parents-in-law, Geroge and Eleanor Richardson; and her brother-in-law Eric McDowell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cindy McDermid (Cameron) of Buda, TX, Holly Maue (Roger) of Trenton and Julie Davis (Brian) of Trenton; her grandchildren, Ryan McDermid (Krista), Melissa Petzolt (Chris), Monica Brown (Tyler), J. R. McDermid, Kimberly Macy (Ryan), Brent Maue (Maritza), Brett Davis (Grace Burns) and Alexa Boland (Max); her sister Sue Bail (David) of Cibolo, TX; and her sister-in-law Linda Sue McDowell of Wood River. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, plants, and other gifts, memorials may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society, American Heart Association, or Clinton County Snack Pack Program and will be received at the visitation or by mail, Moss Funeral Home, 105 S. Main St. Trenton, IL 62293, who is serving the family.
