He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gass and Mary Gass; his siblings, Jerry Gass, Florence Nesbitt (Eddie), Dorothy Brawley (Virgil), Joseph Gass (Shirley) and James Gass; his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Mary Kemper; and his brothers-in-law, Lawrence Kemper, Jr., Garry Kemper, Don Spradling, Richard Kemper and Jack Kemper.
He is survived by: his wife Sharron Gass; his sons, Bill Gass (Buffi) of O'Fallon and Robert Gass (Eydi) of Hoffman; his grandchildren, Brian Gass (Kate), Brandon Gass, Brittni Gass (Jada Dougherty), Courtney Gass, Emma Gass and Mandy Gabel; his great grandchildren, Dansby Gass, Camden Gass, Connor Gass, Caleb Rogers, Skyler Gabel and Scarlett Earnhardt; and his sisters-in-law, Toni Gass of Marissa, Mary Diane White of Coulterville, Linda Spradling of O'Fallon, Lana Kemper of Tilden and Robin Kemper of Smithton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
