He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Bair and Sarah Bair; his former wife Suellen Bair; his parents-in-law, Ralph, Evelyn Thurman, Leo and Marion Pfeffer; his siblings, John, Jacquiline Bair, Jo Payne (Ed), Harold Bair (Rosalie), Mike Bair and Gary Bair; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Bair, Patricia Bair, Oscar Ellison, Jerry Thurman, William Kunz and Joe Brokering.
He is survived by: his children, Marsha Fox (John) of Louisville, KY, Timothy Bair (Cheryl) of Trenton, IL, Darrell Bair (Darla) of O'Fallon, IL, Susan Peterson (David) of St. Petersburg, FL and Lana Tobin (Jarrod) of Trenton, IL; his grandchildren, Charles Bair (Jenelle), Nicholas Bair (Karlyn), Taylor Bennett (Anthony), Chelsea Simmons (William), Meghan Tompkins (Martin), Dylan Roskowski (Joshua), Gabrielle Scott (Michael), Evan Bair, Sydney Bair and Kaeden Tobin; his great grandchildren, Natalia, Jaxon Bair, Cora, Lennon Bair, Austen, Rory Bennett, Skylar, Amari Simmons, Douglas Tompkins, Jamison, Amelia Roskowski, John and Jacob Scott; his siblings, Duane Bair (Linda), Donald Bair, Bonnie Bair and Larry Bair (Charlotte); his siblings-in-law, Loretta Bair, Dorothy Bair, Dixie Thurman, Jeanette Kunz, Mary Ann Brokering, Larry Pfeffer (Carol) and Eileen Martin (Joe); Marie Lillian Bair of Trenton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John United Church of Christ (21 N Walnut St, Trenton, IL 62293). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society (https://donate.cancer.org), Ainad Shriners, or St. John United Church of Christ and will be received at the visitation or by mail at Moss Funeral Home, 105 S.
