He was predeceased by: his father Bernard; his spouse Florentine; his parents-in-law, Henry and Catherine Ratermann; and his in-laws, Cyril Ripperda, Eugene Ripperda (Valeria), Norbert Ripperda (Delores), Loretta Frey (Julian), Johanna Rakers (Paul), Robert Ripperda (Kathleen), Alfred, Richard, Ralph, Melvin Ratermann, Sylvester Ratermann (Mary Louise), Alvina Voss (Victor), Agnes Detmer (Ted), Olivia Landmann (Orville), Henry "Bud" Ratermann (Verna) and Jerry Ratermann.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Wolters (Tom) of Bloomington, Karen Voss (Ralph) of Carlyle and Brian Ripperda (Karen) of Trenton; his grandchildren, Erika Curtis (Jared Murphree) of San Antonio, TX, Jason Wolters (Kellen) of St. Louis, MO., Jared Voss (Lisa) of Beaver Prairie, Justin Voss (Marcy) of Germantown, Allison Netemeyer (Ryan) of Breese, Patric Ripperda (Kayla) of Godfrey and Michael Ripperda of Trenton; his sister-in-law Rita Ratermann; and his great grandchildren, Abby, Alex, Aiden, Aubrey, Calvin, Charlotte Voss, Garrett Wolters, Landon and Grayson Netemeyer.
